2018 Programme

The club meets on the first Tuesday of the month, as below, at St. Paul’s Church, Coronation Road, BS3 1DG, starting at 7.30pm.

Visitors are welcome, at £3.50 on the door, to include refreshments and raffle.

February 6th – AGM

March 6th – Chris from Pennard Plants will be sharing his vast expertise with us and may even bring few choice plants for sale. Bring your pocket money!

April 3rd – SPRING PROPAGATION WORKSHOP We will be looking at some techniques to get some cost effective extra plants in your garden. Hands on and fun activity for all!

May 1st – May Day comes with a real treat as we go outside for a tour of Manor Woods Valley with resident expert Peter Loy-Hancocks. Meet at 7.30pm at the Woods. Details to follow.

May 20th – Plant fair at the Tobacco Factory. Please put by some spare plants for the stall!

June 5th – Garden club annual summer social! Hosted by Jan and John Dabbs. Details to follow. Members and invited guests only.

June 16th – Peter and Cheryl Loy-Hancock’s summer garden party. Details to follow. Members and invited guests only.

July 3rd – Christine Stones is giving us a fascinating insight into the world of Plant Hunters.

July 8th – Summer coach outing, destination to be confirmed. Further details to follow. Everyone welcome.

August Summer break! Fingers crossed for sun!

September 4th – Come and hear all about the wonderful world of Badgers with our own home grown expert, club member Peter Loy-Hancocks.

October 2nd – Stephanie Hafferty will be showing us how to grow a bar garden! Hic!

November 6th – Bob Buck will be coming to tell us all about St Georges Flowerbank Nature Reserve.

December 4th – A garden club traditional Christmas celebration. Everyone welcome.
